Recent News & Happenings

Besides recent renovations and updates, Linda has "told her story" through a visual story with nine handmade tiles, inlayed in the new cedar countertops of the shop. The tiles depict her story of having a Swiss immigrant family, growing up on a Nebraska homestead, attending a rural school, moving to the Sandhills, being an artist, teacher, traveler and art studio and gallery owner. 

In 2017 we participated in the Nebraska State Fair's biggest classroom and threw pots on the wheel.  We had attending children and even adults "make their mark" into the clay as fellow Nebraskans.  

I am past President of the Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway, promoting tourism on the byway that runs along State Hwy 2 between Grand Island and Alliance.  

CaLinda's was a 2016 Passport stop and again in 2023!  The 2023 Passport Program was a success.
